I am a Professor in the Department of Economics at the University of Mannheim, a Research Fellow at the Centre for Economic Policy Research, and an editorial board member at Explorations in Economic History. My research combines insights from economic history and applied microeconomics to examine questions related to immigration, demography, and structural change. I hold a PhD in economics from Universitat Pompeu Fabra.
